Quick answers to what learners ask us most.
How much does a driving lesson cost?
Instructors set their own price. Most lessons range from $65 to $95 an hour, all inclusive. The price you see on the instructor's profile is the price you pay, with no booking fees added at checkout.
Can I cancel a lesson?
Yes. Cancel 24 hours or more before your lesson and you'll be refunded in full. Within 24 hours, the lesson is non-refundable. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
What does 'verified' mean?
Before any instructor goes live, Drivelo checks five things: their driving instructor licence for the state they teach in, Working with Children Check, identity, vehicle (registration and dual controls) and insurance (public liability and comprehensive motor). We check again before each credential expires.
Which suburbs are covered?
Drivelo is available across Australia, and instructors are joining suburb by suburb. Enter your suburb to see who's available near you.
Are Drivelo instructors employees?
No. Drivelo instructors are independent contractors who run their own businesses. Drivelo provides the marketplace; they provide the lesson.
How do I become an instructor on Drivelo?
Apply through the Become an instructor page. We'll ask for your authority, Working with Children Check, insurance and vehicle details, then review and approve within 5 business days.
